With its theme "The Nexus", the 13th Fudan Foreign Language Festival is a splendid all-embracing cultural carnival, providing this year a platform for the Chinese students and all overseas students on campus to pair with each other and in one month lead this miraculous trip together.

Earth Hour : Vote Earth
THIS YEAR, EARTH HOUR HAS BEEN TRANSFORMED INTO THE WORLD’S FIRST GLOBAL ELECTION, between Earth and global warming. For the first time in history, people of all ages, nationalities, race and background have the opportunity to use their light switch as their vote – Switching off your lights is a vote for Earth, or leaving them on is a vote for global warming. WWF are urging the world to VOTE EARTH and reach the target of 1 billion votes, which will be presented to world leaders at the Global Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen 2009. This meeting will determine official government policies to take action against global warming, which will replace the Kyoto Protocol. It is the chance for the people of the world to make their voice heard.
EARTH HOUR BEGAN IN SYDNEY IN 2007, when 2.2 million homes and businesses switched off their lights for one hour. In 2008 the message had grown into a global sustainability movement, with 50 million people switching off their lights. Global landmarks such as the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, Rome’s Colosseum, the Sydney Opera House and the Coca Cola billboard in Times Square all stood in darkness.
IN 2009, EARTH HOUR IS BEING TAKEN TO THE NEXT LEVEL, with the goal of 1 billion people switching off their lights as part of a global vote. Unlike any election in history, it is not about what country you’re from, but instead, what planet you’re from. VOTE EARTH is a global call to action for every individual, every business, and every community. A call to stand up and take control over the future of our planet. Over 74 countries and territories have pledged their support to VOTE EARTH during Earth Hour 2009, and this number is growing everyday.
We all have a vote, and every single vote counts. Together we can take control of the future of our planet, for future generations.
VOTE EARTH BY SIMPLY SWITCHING OFF YOUR LIGHTS FOR ONE HOUR, AND JOIN THE WORLD FOR EARTH HOUR.

Shopaholic vs High maintenance
Pasti uda pada tau tentang "confession of a shopaholic" kan?? pas denger kata ini, apa seh yang ada dipikiran kita? novel, movie ato menyadari diri sendiri termasuk shopaholic?
Akhir-akhir ini, lebih tepatnya kemaren seh abis jalan2 da gt kepikiran aja, apakah kita ini termasuk shopaholic ato termasuk high maintenance? sebenarnya definisi high maintenance itu apa ya? setelah gw search2, cari2 lewat mbah wiki, high maintenance describes a system which requires a high degree of maintenance to ensure proper functioning and without which it is likely to break down. sedangkan definisi shopaholic itu a person who shops compulsively or very frequently.
denger high maintenance and shopaholic, do you consider yourself a high maintenance or shopaholic(ini ga berlaku untuk cewek doankkk... walaupun kebykan lebih byk kejadian di cewek)? Do you think being high maintenance is wrong? kalo menurut gw, high maintenance itu bukan masalah financial, boros, beli barang yang mahal2 aja... tapi lebih keinginan untuk memiliki, mempunyai, hasrat untuk berusaha mencapai apa yang diinginkannnn & kesenangan yang didapat. tapi kalo being shopaholic seh, emg rada2 ga setuju, krn shopaholic itu lebih sering beli barang yang ga bakal kepake. sebagai contoh, gw ada temen, dia shopaholic + high maintenance. i don't mind she's being high maintenance, tapi shopaholicnya itu, bener2 parah, bisa dalam wkt 2 minggu ngabisin duit bbrp puluh juta buat beli barang yang ga perlu dibeli n itu dia ga pake duit dia sndr, mase pake duit dr ortu.
well, semua orang emang ga punya penghasilan ato pengeluaran yang sama... mnrt gw seh, as long as you can keep balance ur money, mao beli barang semahallll apa jg gpp... apalagi sometimes, dari sudut pandang gw(mksdnya sudut pandang cewek), cewek bisa save up money bbrp bulan untuk membeli barang yang emg dipengeninn walaupun harga barang itu rada mahal, malah kadang cewek jg bisa cari kerja tambahan untuk dapat beli barang yang dia mao. so guys, don't judge a book by its cover ya. kadang misalnya cowok ngejudge ini ce high maintenance ato gmn2, u guys just don't know that being high maintenance needs sacrifice n it's not a crime!!!!! kalian jg ga tau kalo misalnya ce itu ternyata beli segala macemnya pake duit dia sendiri kan? hehehe....
yahhh ini aja seh yang lg mao di share ma gw... hehe lg ga ada kerjaan n lg ada pikiran ttg ini, kalo ada masukan, kase comment ajaa yaaaa hehehe (-chel yang lg bosan di klas dan ada banyak unek2)
